Durante diciembre del 2004, cuando la mayoría de los ex miembros dejo la banda, César Gutiérrez decidió grabar un demo llamado “Nefast Contradiction” (guitarras, voces y bajo fueron grabados por él, se uso batería programada, y Jarot Gutiérrez, ex miembro de la banda, grabo los solos adicionales). Durante el 2006, con una alineación más estable que consistio en: Juan Carlos Gonzalez (voz) César Gutiérrez (guitarra), Carlos Ferreyros y luego Desbal Jara (guitarra), Alejandro Hernandez (bajo), and Hans Zapata (bateria) la banda toco en algunos conciertos, incluyendo el tributo a Chuck Schuldiner realizado en Lima-Perú en diciembre del 2006.</span></p><p style="font-family: arial, sans-serif; color: rgb(255, 255, 255); font-weight: bold; line-height: normal !important; font-style: normal; text-decoration: none; text-transform: none; "><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: small;">En el 2007 la banda decide re-grabar tres de los cuatro temas del demo del 2004 "Nefast Contradiction" mas un tema nuevo, como prueba para ver si la banda se encontraba lista para la grabación de un primer álbum que se tenia en mente desde inicios del 2007, siendo el tracklist de este demo el siguiente: 1.- False Face, 2.- Nefast Contradiction, 3.- Irrational acts, 4.- Retrospective. Para estas grabaciones se contó con la ayuda, una vez mas, de Jarot Gutiérrez de “Aevum” en los solos adicionales (ya que el segundo guitarrista decidió dejar la banda a comienzos de año) y César Gutiérrez tuvo que grabar la voz debido a que Juan Carlos no participo de las sesiones de grabacion debido a asuntos personales.Los temas grabados están en pre-mezcla, sin masterizar, sin ningún efecto propio de la etapa de mezcla, “patchs de bateria”, ni arreglo alguno por parte de un ingeniero de sonido, están tal y como fueron grabados en el estudio para ver el real desempeño de cada miembro, que es lo que cada uno tenia que mejorar o si se tenia que tomar alguna decisión antes de proceder a la grabación del primer disco. De esta forma se decidió buscar un nuevo baterista que reemplazase a Hans Zapata. La banda se formó en 1997 y tuvo su primera presentación el 6 de noviembre de 1998 en el legendario Más Allá de Barranco. Poco a poco, Arsenal fue consolidándose en la escena local, pues consiguió ubicarse como semifinalista en el Concurso de Rock organizado por la Municipalidad de Miraflores en 1999, quedando en el décimo quinto lugar de 240 grupos de todo el país, y causando grata impresión en un representante de una disquera colombiana que actuó como jurado. Sin embargo, fue recién a fines del 2000 cuando Arsenal consiguió la aceptación del público luego de presentarse en distintos pubs de Barranco y en diferentes festivales del género. A partir de ese momento, Arsenal supo tomar su lugar en la escena del cuero negro y cabellos largos de Lima, pues su nombre apareció en cartel junto a los mejores grupos peruanos del género, siendo incluso nominada como Mejor Banda Metal del Año 2001 en una encuesta organizada por el prestigioso programa “Zona 103” de Radio Nacional. Si bien la banda, a través de los años, ha sufrido cambios en su formación, conserva a dos de sus miembros fundadores: Jaime La Rosa (guitarra y voz), Rafael Contreras (guitarra y voz), quienes junto a Julio César Jáuregui (bajo) y Alejandro Rojas (batería), conforman la alineación actual del grupo. A la fecha, Arsenal ya no es un nombre anónimo en la escena local. Ha recibido distintos reconocimientos dentro de los cuales la aceptación del público es el más importante. De igual forma, la primera producción discográfica de la banda, titulada “Resistiendo” y presentada oficialmente en febrero de 2007, ha recibido críticas muy positivas de los medios de comunicación masivos y especializados, tanto locales como internacionales. Tras la ruptura de la entonces consolidada banda Thunder War, con el apoyo de Jorge(Voz) decidieron dar forma a su instinto musical con la formación de una banda dedicada a buscar un sonido propio teniendo al Power Metal como base. Siguiendo la búsqueda de músicos para poder concretar la banda, Jorge(Voz) llamó a Diego Chacaliaza(Guitarra), quien ya había sido su compañero de banda años atrás. Y finalmente,luego de algunos cambios en su formación, ingresaron Diego Shiguemura(Bajo) y Alonso(Guitarra), quienes también ya habían compartido escenario con Diego Chacaliaza(Guitarra). Al poco tiempo la banda se separa y ya en Febrero del 2003 Ricardo Boado(Velocirraptor Destructor) llama un nuevo vocalista: Ronnie "Demoledor". Recien en el 2006 el proyecto se retoma de manera seria y luego de algunos cambios en la alineacion se recurre a sangre nueva para dar vida a la bestia.
